Despite her destructive lifestyle she was unbelievably talented and had the voice of an angel. She was the definition of raw talent with a rare intuition as a vocalist, she lived jazz, she lived blues. This new album Lioness: Hidden Treasures is a collection of previously unreleased tracks, alternate versions of existing classics, as well as a couple of brand new compositions. Following her tragic passing, some of the producers and musicians who worked closely with Amy Winehouse, among them Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, spent time listening over the many recordings that Amy had made, before, during, and after the release of Frank and Back To Black.Every song she wrote was a piece of her mind and her emotions captured while baring her soul through the darkest times. It's sad thinking of how much beautiful music she had left to share with the world. When you listen to "Best Friends, Right?", "Like Smoke", "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow", "Between the Cheats", and “Body And Soul”, it is a testament to her artistic genius and her brilliance as one of the most honest and exceptional musicians of our generation.
Of the three music videos that have come out this month, "Party" is my favorite. While on set of this video she was shooting a Dazed & Confused cover shoot and editorial, that issue dropped in June. She was photographed as she was shooting the video while holding an ice cream cone and stepping out of an RV in a custom Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci jumper and vintage Pucci pants in an Honour latex suspender belt, giving you the most drop dead gorgeous ''SSUP?" look ever. Solange's Top Shop American flag shorts are to die for and that yellow fur that B is wearing with a bodysuit and bunny ears is EVERYTHING! B likes to party with a few familiar faces Shaun Ross, Coco & Breezy, Dai Burger and spotted a few of Rembrandt Duran's ADEEN accessories. I will mention that I'm a bit disappointed that she swapped out Andre 3000 for J. Cole, either way she looks stunning!

It was a star studded event at Coachella this year held in Indio, California over the weekend. Indie music lovers and hipsters from all over were in attendance. I was unable to attend this years festival because tickets were sold out shortly after they were available for purchase. As the buzz keeps getting bigger and bigger the lineup continues to get better and better. Coachella is nothing more than a huge fashion show as well as one of the most talked about events amongst our generation. Lauryn Hill was the best dressed wearing Jil Sander striped maxi dress paired with a leather jacket, beanie, oversized hat, and massive amounts of chunky jewelry. Stripes emerged as a trend for this past weekend, as well as delicate laced numbers, tiny cut-off vintage shorts, and floaty maxi skirts.
Last night I finally had the chance to listen to "This Little Light of Mine" I have to say that I'm obsessed with "Sick" and "Love Bullet Gun". She is an amazing artist and it's a beautiful thing to see someone who is trying to change the world in a positive manner. Listen to her lyrics and hear her voice "This Little Light of Mine" is a diverse, fresh, inspiring work of art. Theirs something for everyone on this album and I'm sure you can relate to the stories she tells through her music.
