NY Fashion Week: Kevork Kiledjian Fall/Winter 2011 RTW

On Monday I attended the Kevork Kiledjian fashion show at Milk studios. In a suppressed world where few were brave enough to listen to their inner voice. Tamara De Lemppicka lived an authentic without fear or conformity. She was the catalyst for today’s women. Kevork Kiledjian envisions this in his collection. An indefinable being intelligently confident in their environment, at its foundation the collection is a study of life’s opposites. Fabrics and designs that only in contrast create harmony. Tamara knew that inherently. Centered upon a ballet of black, purple, camel, and gold Kevork Kiledjians latest collection reflects what it means to be radical. Trusting oneself by ignoring the outside social norm. Fitted silhouettes and asymmetrical lengths echo Kevork Kiledjians desire to remember the physical. The conscious reveal of skin with a slit, open back, or fringe augment the Kiledjian dimension. Opulent feather print blouses, tailored leather jackets, and colorful fur mark a new time when one forgets to fear. Below is footage I taped from my seat in the front row!
