Jeffrey Campbell JC Girl Video Campaign Shoot

On Saturday I had the opportunity to shoot with Jeffrey Campbell for their newest video campaign featuring real life JC girls! I can tell you all that from the moment I arrived on set I have never been surrounded by so many LITAS at once. We were shooting in Greenpoint, Brooklyn by OAK and it was freezing cold that day but it was worth it I'd say. I met the entire Jeffrey Campbell team who all were obsessed with my vintage Luther Vandross over sized tank, and a few bloggers such as Nubia Mejia of http://www.nubiasnonsense.com She has great style and an amazing site. The video campaign will launch sometime in April! I'm interested to see how it came out! It was a great experience and they would love to work with us all again for future projects. Photos from the shoot will be up on the JC blog and Tumblr this week!

"Girls We Hated In High School" Bags By Jeffrey Campbell

Everyone has those girls that you hated in high school right? Jeffrey Campbell used the girls he hated in high school as a muse for his new bag line, by naming each design after one of them. The collection of bags features a variety styles and will be available in stores very soon!

Concrete Jungle

How you go to New York, what you never took a tour there? What you didn't know you go to be rich just to be poor there? New York has closed itself off to the young and the struggling. New York City has been taken away from you, so my advice is to find a new city. Then again the city is so nice they named it twice. "New York I love you but your bringing me down".

New York, I love You but you're bringing me down
New York, I love You but you're bringing me down
Like a rat in a cage pulling minimum wage
New York, I love You but you're bringing me down

New York, you're safer and you're wasting my time
Our records all show you are filthy but fine
But they shuttered your stores when you opened the doors
To the cops who were bored once they'd run out of crime

New York, you're perfect, don't please don't change a thing
Your mild billionaire mayor's now convinced he's a king
So the boring collect - I mean all disrespect
In the neighborhood bars I'd once dreamt I would drink

New York, I love you but you're freaking me out
There's a ton of the twist but we're fresh out of shout
Like a death in the hall that you hear through your wall
New York, I love you but you're freaking me out

New York, I love You but you're bringing me down
New York, I love You but you're bringing me down
Like a death of the heart...Jesus, where do I start
But you're still the one pool where I'd happily drown

And oh..
Take me off your mailing list
For kids that think it still exists
Yes, for those who think it still exists

Maybe I'm wrong
And maybe you're right
Maybe I'm wrong
And maybe you're right
Maybe you're right
Maybe I'm wrong
And just maybe you're right

And Oh..
Maybe mother told you true
And they're always be something there for you
And you'll never be alone

But maybe she's wrong
And maybe I'm right
And just maybe she's wrong

Maybe she's wrong
And maybe I'm right
And if so here's this song

Photo: Poor eating habits

Since I've been living in New York my eating habits are so unhealthy due to the fact that I'm always working and there is no idle time to even consider going grocery shopping to save money. One of my favorite places to eat and have drinks is "Cafe Habana" on Prince and Elizabeth. They have the best Cuban food and is known mainly for their delicious corn that is grilled to perfection topped with Butter, Parmesan cheese, and Cinnamon. When I order take-out while being at work I usually order the grilled chicken entree with rice and black beans. The dinner menu is amazing and when I have the time to sit and enjoy a meal I order the fish tacos with rice and beans or the steak enchiladas with rice and beans. Lastly two weeks ago I had brunch on the Upper West Side at "Community Food & Juice" with a friend from Teen Vogue that is leaving to go to London for a few months. I ordered french toast with almonds and pears topped with caramel syrup. I hate to admit the fact that I order take-out for lunch and dinner on a daily basis. If you live in the city or will be visiting soon I highly recommend both restaurants!

untitled

The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing to find the place where all beauty came from. I shut my eyes in order to see, who looks outside dreams, who looks inside awakes. We are always getting ready to live, but not living. Everything in life now has a purpose. Some of the people, places, and things in life will offer a lesson, some will propel you to some other level or some other experience. Positive energy expands and grows stronger when you feed it with happy thoughts, affirmations, and the knowledge that you deserve good things in life. When you are beaming with love and joy, you are radiant, and you attract even greater love and joy. Empower yourself in this way, and the world will be yours. Do it on an ongoing basis, and you will be unstoppable.
