Last night I finally had the chance to listen to "This Little Light of Mine" I have to say that I'm obsessed with "Sick" and "Love Bullet Gun". She is an amazing artist and it's a beautiful thing to see someone who is trying to change the world in a positive manner. Listen to her lyrics and hear her voice "This Little Light of Mine" is a diverse, fresh, inspiring work of art. Theirs something for everyone on this album and I'm sure you can relate to the stories she tells through her music.

Vashtie x Jordan x Maestro Knows

Creative visionary and designer Vashtie Kola collaborated with Jordan making her the first female to design a sneaker with the brand. Known for her unique tomboyish feminine style that we all adore combined with her love for sneakers. The limited edition VIOLETTE Air Jordan II released today in selected stores in New York. The color being purple to represent her clothing line VIOLETTE and the design of the classic Air Jordan II's. I'm not a sneaker head and one would never see me in a pair of sneakers unless it's a converse. Being that my favorite color is purple and I admire Vashtie I brought a pair. She is such an inspiration to aspiring visual artists like myself. Below is an interview she recently shot on the streets of New York by the creator behind the Maestro Knows show. As far as the background story goes, we’ve heard most of this before. Jay discussing the influence of his parents’ collection of classic soul, his love of New York, what it means to perform at Madison Square Garden. I think what’s crazy though is how the context of the conversation keeps changing. What makes his career so important to Hip-Hop is the experience of seeing just how far he can really take it. Every time we see him, the collaborations are bigger, the imagery is more iconic and the story becomes more legendary.
